ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mark Jackson was originally introduced to music by his father being an avid record collector and also playing the drums from an early age. Jackson prides himself on bridging different genres of music, incorporating scratching and pristine mixing.
Intrigued with the art of DJ'ing and learning the craft from DJ's before his time - Jackson eventually saved enough money to purchase a pair of turntables and began DJ’ing in college as a hobby. It soon came to be one of his true passions.
As an Open-Format DJ, Mark Jackson has played numerous events for corporations such as Nike, Redbull, MTV, Microsoft, Playboy, Oakley and more. Having performed at some of Los Angeles' premier nightlife venues including Bootsy Bellows, Poppy, Delilah, Warwick, Bar Lis, The Nice Guy, SHOREbar, Hyde etc. - Jackson is extremely humbled and honored to do something he loves.
In addition to DJ'ing in Los Angeles, Mark Jackson has had the opportunity to DJ in Aspen, New York, Miami, Hong Kong, Philippines amongst other cities. Jackson has alo had the opportunities to DJ events/after parties for The Grammy Awards, The Emmy's, VMA Awards, Golden Globes, The Oscars, NASCAR, Super Bowl, NFL Draft, Redbull's Winter X-Games, and has also served as tour DJ for Columbia Records pop duo, MKTO - playing concerts for thousands around the world also opening for acts such as: One Republic, TLC, Boys II Men, Emblem 3, Jason Derulo, Demi Lovato, Diplo, Foster The People, King of Leon, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, G-Eazy to name a few.
Clients such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry, Don Cheadle, Robert Kraft, Peter Thiel, Lenny Kravitz and more have been seen dancing to Mark Jackson's eclectic style. Whether it's a nightclub or private event, be sure to expect the same passion and energy every night.
